Re: Oil Consumption
MousT_21, I think this engine is hard on oil and that's why 5W-40 ACEA A3/B4 is recommended: it is a tappet engine, therefore higher HTHS viscosity is preferred. It has a turbo which runs host therefore xW-40 is used. Ideally I think this engine also needs an oil with MB 229.5 spec to run through 20...

Re: Oil Consumption
Hello oldman,
Thanks for updating us. It would be great if you can ask for a Nissan's recall number for the problem.

Re: Pulsar reliability advice from pulsar owners?
vinkhub, There are plenty users of 1.2 DIG-T Pulsars here, and yet not so many report any actual problem with the oil consumption. I have 1.2 DIG-T and so far everything is great: level does not drop and the engine feels perfect. For the subject of oil consumption: I find Japanese cars are the best ...

Re: Park Assist
I am outside of UK and I have a top spec Tekna (with CVT). No park assist present on my car which does self parking. I have of course the bird's eye view as well as switchable camera so it facilitates parking.

Re: Oil Consumption
Hello everyone,
I've been following topic on oil consumption by 1.2 DIG-T engine and I did oil level check more or less every week. So far no consumption and I am at 2500 km.

Re: Oil Consumption
MousT_21, Please tell us how is it going. I agree with you that the recommended oil for 1.2 DIG-T is Full SAPS 5W-40 ACEA A3/B4 and it may be catastrophic to use A5/B5 in our engines mainly due to the fact that A5/B5 requires lower HTHS (2.9 max) than in A3/B4 (3.5 min). On the other hand, I saw som...

Re: real world mpg
Hello everyone, I have a 1.2 petrol version with CVT gearbox. My fuel consumption (average) is 7.2 liters/100 km (39 MPG). The best consumption of a trip is 6.1 liters/100 km (46 MPG). I am using "ECO mode" driving. Doing a lot of motorway at speed around 100 km/h - 120 km/h and I treat th...

Re: New owner
I have 1.2 Xtronic DIG-T Pulsar as a second car and I am quite impressed when comparing Pulsar to QQ Tekna J10. The car is more agile, more fan to driver and I like safety features like lane departure warning, autonomous breaking, blind spot monitoring, speeding notification, etc. In terms of size P...
