Re: Problems starting in the cold.....battery?

So, after more issues this week, I have traded in the Pulsar, for a Kia Ceed. 7 months old, so just the 77 months warranty remaining :)

I hope you all enjoy your cars, but when you lose faith in a car, it's time to change.

Cheers,

Keith.

Re: Problems starting in the cold.....battery?

I am the OP from 1 year ago. Guess what? A year and a few days after getting a replacement battery from Nissan, the replacement itself is now defective! Car would not start on Friday afternoon and Monday morning after being left overnight. Would not respond to key to unlock, and once unlocked with t...

Re: cannot lock Nissan Pulsar without fob

Hi!

This forum is for a different car with the same name - however, have you tried changing the battery in your fob?

Cheers,

Keith.

Re: Test Driving a 2018 Nissan Leaf

The 2018 leaf has a 40kwh battery, whilst the 2019 one is to have a 60kwh battery. Expecting a roughly 50% longer range.

Re: Test Driving a 2018 Nissan Leaf

Nice, thanks. Been considering one but will wait for the longer range version they are releasing in 2019.

New Nissan Leaf

Anyone been in one? What's the rear space like? Looks quite Pulsar-like from the pictures. Interested in getting a used one once prices have dropped (....will need to be by a lot!) in 2020-ish, when my Pulsar will be 6 years old. By that time, there should be used examples available of the larger ba...

Re: Problems starting in the cold.....battery?

Yep, it's a bit concerning.

Thankfully the weather became cold enough to show the problems in mine with only 2 weeks or so of the warranty left, otherwise it would have been expensive.

Running fine just now though (touch laminated work surface).

Re: Problems starting in the cold.....battery?

Sounds EXACTLY the same as mine, which needed a new battery and glow plugs, all done around 2 weeks before the warranty expired, by my local dealer.

Re: Stop/Start Fault

My car was about a month away from the 3 year warranty expiring, when the battery became faulty (a bad cell, they said), and they fitted a new one with no problems at all (Nissan - Dunfermline). This still didn't cure all of my problems, and about a week later it was back in for new glow plugs, agai...

Re: Stop/Start Fault

Bad. All of the numbers are the same as my one which was declared bad, and swapped under warranty by Nissan.

Posts on the qashqai forums also have this battery with the same numbers, being declared bad.
