Re: Brake pads

aah :)

In which case, yes you will need replace the caliper/carrier/rear brake guard at minimum.

Make sure you check out if there is a difference in the rear brakes as well, in addition any brake balance differences as whacking on larger discs/pads up front could upset the balance

Re: Brake pads

ARe you sure the 1.6 has larger discs?

If that is true, then disk, caliper + carrier + either a modifiction or replacment to the disc guard.

Oh, and telling the insurance company :)

Re: 1.2 Pulsar 2015 fuel consumption

1.6 DIG-T here, I typicaly average around 42-45 depening upon weather conditions. Now its getting cooler, ive noticed MPG sliding a little. A ~450 mile round trip from Bolton to Woking, then back again over last couple of days, down the M6 (a lot of 50 zones), along the M42, then a long slog down th...

Re: Which fuse to hardwire the dashcam

This maybe usefull: https://www.pulsarforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=356&p=1974&hilit=dash+cam#p1974 It looks as though one of the posters used the spare link on the right hand side on your pic (3rd down on the right hand side). It has been suggested this is live with ignition. Your other option ...

Re: Brake pads

When they give you an answer of % worn, then ask for how much pad material is left in mm. I would suggest take a peak yourself, not all that difficult through the wheels with a torch. The inner pad is a little more difficult bit possible without removing the wheel if you can be inventive with a mirr...

Re: pulsar Tenka rear passenger heaters

The rear passenger vents were available in the early models, but soon disapeared. My guess is they didnt renew the parts bin for those elements when they ran out to keep costs down due to lower than expeced demand. If there are no rear vents, then HVAC will only be available via the front vents in t...

Re: Brake pads

30k I would say was about right for a set of pads... however your mileage may vary depending upon how you use them.... Mostly motorway driving..... you will get more miles out of some parts compared to town/spirited driving which requires more braking.... In theory, having an auto could also decreas...

Re: Pulsar 1.2 engine replacement

I had this issue with my 1.2 Qashqai and there is plenty of threads on here, Qashqai and Juke forums. I ended up trading my qashqai in for a Pulsar as due to the cars history, Nissan were the only ones willing to give reasonable market value. The older the car is, the less it will become an issue th...

Re: Engine Problems 1.2turbo

i would push them harder, esp as its not long after warranty.

You have up to 6 years to claim manuf issue, yes you have to prove it yourself, but given there is plenty of evidence around that this is the case...

Re: System error, car judders

It could be anything from an iffy sensor, some sort of limp home mode, fault.... Without more information or even access to the computer/any logged fault codes, its going to be difficult to diagnose or give you any guidance. There are a number of system error messages, often with corrosponding eror ...
