Re: Hiding a cable from dash cam in my Nissan Pulsar

They will probably be charging you for an hours labour. As above, just take your time with it, removing trim at this level is fairly straight forward. Just don't go bonkers as it and you will be fine!

Re: Air Con issue & shakey engine

It doesn't sound like the air con, but part of the air ducting/control sounds like its broke or faulty in some way. If the dealer you have gone to doesn't have the part, or willing to do it, go and find a different dealer and explain the situation. Sometimes some dealers are just lazy and don't want...

Re: Comparative specs of different models

The Micra is a 3cyl, they all have an interesting 'throb' and vibration - perfectly normal!

As for spec, you cant really compare 2 models side by side even if they share the same name. The Micra is a completely different animal and market base.

Re: Brake pad change

Mine got to ~2mm when I changed them. That was around 25k on the clock, but I am heavy on the brakes.

Fairly straight forward to swap out, but watch out for the spring on the clips, they are a little annoying!

Re: Is it best to go for servicing with the same dealer

I think it vastly depends on your circumstances. Nissan give you * Software updates to the entertainment system and engine control systems * Curtesy car for the day * RAC cover for 12 months In comparison, I send my 2012 Micra in for a service to a local garage which is around £150 which is just the...

Re: Wierd clock time.

Yep, same here! Confused the heck out of me first time. I'm quite sure the first time was last week, initially putting it down to being parked under the car port and it not picking up a signal (either GPS or radio signal) I wonder if it has something to do with the Galileo GPS system. Not sure if th...

Re: Disable speed limiter alarm?

About NDS, yes, we did go through the OBD adapter issue with the developer. Mine seemed to support all the necessary commands. I downloaded NDSiii this morning and tried it on my car - it worked first time. My dongle is a cheapo Bluetooth one from ebay - a ELM327 clone, but the Android Torque app (...

Re: Disable speed limiter alarm?

A well respected forum member on the Qashqai forum posted some information here: https://www.qashqaiforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2982 I dare say the links wont work any more, but the information is usefull non the less. The Qashqai and Pulsar share the same platforms so the version posted should be ...

Re: Disable speed limiter alarm?

I use the speed limiter extensively. There are a few areas around here which are covered with average speed camera checks so this feature helps ensure I don't go over the limit! I don't like cruise control as I see that as a minimum speed, where as speed limiter, well, it sets a maximum limit. The b...
