Re: Headlights and DRL running together ?

The DRL's are in the same housing as the fog lights, but run on different bulbs. DRL's turn on when the main lights are not on, then turn off when others are on. When you have dipped/main lights on, you can then switch on the fog lights. This will illuminate an additional green light on your dash as...

Re: Headlights and DRL running together ?

Nope, they should come on when the fog light are switched on.

Either you are missing the bulbs or wiring is iffy!

Re: Headlights and DRL running together ?

I was thinking there maybe some law/requirement to disable DRL's when other lights are on however, according to here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/daytime-running-lights/daytime-running-lights That doesn't seem the case! There is no way by default to switch on the DRL's when headlights...

Re: Incorrect Key ID

My fobs seem to be lasting around 6-9 months before the battery needs swapping! A weak battery can result in weaker signal which I have noticed in some areas could be drowned out by other interference/signals. Not sure if I am using poor batteries (ebay, so chances are I am!), or if something else i...

Re: Should i buy the 1.2 ?

later i was told that previous owner must have fitted smaller size brake pads than what appropriate This worries me and I would personally run a mile from this garage. Either the garage are correct and somehow the original owner has managed to fit inappropriate pads.... however I cant see how you c...

Re: Car stealing

I don't do anything. Although any car with keyless entry is vulnerable, I don't think the Pulsar is high on the list of desirable cars. If I was worried I'd just use the steering lock which I put on if I have to de-ice in the mornings. I beg too differ. There was a recent spate of cars around my wa...

Re: Front spoiler/splitter annoying

Depends on the size of the hump. I have caught mine a few times on car park ramps/excessively large/tall speed humps. Its odd as in my K13 Micra has a similar spitter that's quite low but never catches.

I dare say you could take it off, might be a few screws or clips.

Re: About to buy a Pulsar

Pulsars have had some bogus Renault engines with problems The 1.2 DIG-T engines are re-badged Renault TCE based engines. Nothing bogus about it, it is exactly what they are.... Renault engines. The problem is well known to be a piston/piston ring issue where the sizing was incorrect. The problem re...

Re: 1.6 DIG-T - 3rd to 5th gear change crunch

1 > 2 Yep, occasionally like that here from memory. Although not in the last few days! I wonder if it has something to do with temperature? I recall my 200sx being notchy/crunchy between 1 > 2 until the gearbox oil had warmed up. It’s been reasonably warm over the last couple of days. Will see what ...

Re: 1.6 DIG-T - 3rd to 5th gear change crunch

Unable to replicate a 4th gear crunch as per video. I will try and get a video of mine, but might not be until the weekend. I couldn't do a 4th to 5th test as again, but did manage to reconfirm that 1/2/3 > 5th crunches Going from 6 > 5 or any other combination of downshifting doesn't seem to crunch...
