Re: Low fuel warning

It's more of an irritation than a major problem. Every other car I've owned, where it had a low fuel warning, gave a reasonably accurate indication, on the gauge and on the remaining mileage figure, with about 50 miles of fuel left. A system where both gauge and remaining mileage are wildly pessimis...

Re: Low fuel warning

35/36 litres max fill for me too. Approx 10 litres in the tank with estimated 40 miles to empty is ridiculous.

Re: 1st Service

If you're happy with the deal then that's all that matters. I had a pretty good deal too. Just under £4k off the price of brand new, unregistered Connecta 1.2.

Re: 1st Service

The figure you quoted for service is the same as Nissan told me, so I assume it's a standard charge. I'd still be pretty p***** off if I had to pay for a service just 3 months after purchase. They should have done a full vehicle check before you purchased and could have stamped the service book at t...

Re: 1st Service

Why is it in for service already? I asked about the need for a shakedown service when I bought mine in November and was told they don't do them any more. My first service will be after a year, unless I reach the standard service mileage.

Re: 1st Service

Tyre wear almost certainly won't be considered to be a defect.

Re: Alarm system & door mist

I don't think the OP is complaining about the window misting up on the outside. They are questioning whether dropping the window should act like a squeegie and take the condensation off. It would seem reasonable that a well fitting rubber seal would do that, but it not good on mine either.

Re: 1st Service

It'll be interesting to see what they say about the fuel guage because mine is the same. Shows 40 miles to go but takes bout 34 litres to fill up.

Re: Alarm system & door mist

Whether dropping the window wipes off the misting seems to be a bit hit and miss on many makes and models of car. On my wife's Micra it clears all the driver side and about half the passenger side. On my Ford Focus it cleared all the passenger side and none of the driver side. On the Pulsar it doesn...
