Re: Stop/Start Fault
As I've said previously, I tend to switch off the Stop/Start system because the car stalls so often when the engine restarts. As the time for its first service is approaching I thought I'd look a little more deeply into what happens at restart. To ensure that I don't hold up traffic I still leave it...

67 plate can't be more than a couple of weeks old. Fuel shouldn't stain like that.nottmsteve wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2017 7:21 pm Hello and welcome. Does sound like petrol stain but I'd be taking it back to the dealer.

Re: Oil Consumption
Checked mine today after reading this thread. 8k miles and oil was just above the minimum mark. Like nottmsteve, I haven't checked oil level between services for many years. I've got an 800 mile round trip coming up next week so just as well I checked. Consumption obviously not as bad as some but I ...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****
The whole saga is ridiculous. As it's gone on a long time I thought it might help if I summarised the way things went. Car purchased new in October '16. December '16 display on sat nav informs me that update is available. Feb/March '17 Contacted local dealershipto request the update and was informed...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****
I've been in contact with Nissan customer support asking what the date of the most recent map update is and when the next one will be available. They provided me with a link to Nissan Connect and it makes interesting reading. The 'current' map was compiled in Quarter 1 of 2016, so already nearly 18 ...

Re: Hello
On a 67 plate I'd definitely be straight back to the dealership with any paint discolouration.

Re: Phone charger
I charge using the power outlet. I haven't tried it on USB but I'd guess that it doesn't recognise the make and model because only Apple devices are supported. I'd just get a charger you can use through the power outlet. Annoying, but don't expect Nissan to be helpful.

Did you also look for the stop/start button to turn the engine off? I did...
Yes, but I didn't want to admit that on top of everything else.

Technology advances or not?
I've rarely driven my wife's 07 plate Micra since I got the Pulsar so did notice a couple of differences when I used it earlier in the week. Trying to start the Micra with the key in my pocket is somewhat difficult :) Looking down at the radio is no help when reversing  On a slightly more serio...

Re: POWER
Thats not a bad idea Cause in low revs in second gear the car near comes to engine cut out,,,have to clutch and drop into first. It seems very odd that the petrol and diesel engines have similar characteristics. The 1.2 petrol does exactly the same. There's one particular junction, slight uphill, l...
