The way I get round it is not to accelerate from a crawl but stop and set off briskly again in first gear up to about 15mph and then go into second. I do this a lot at junctions where I needn’t have stopped.
Of course you have to keep an eye on what’s safe to do.

Re: Pulsar 1.5 Diesel problems
Unfortunately, buying any car is a gamble, like doing the lottery, and the dealers are only interested in taking our money.

Re: Space saver spare wheel
I share your concerns, Yorkie- how can it possibly be ok to run a car with different wheel sizes. I think it’s just a case of Nissan have made these emergency spares as an afterthought, and couldn’t care less about anyone not running on 16” ones.

Re: Test Driving a 2018 Nissan Leaf
I imagine the actual range will fall far below Nissan’s figures. If I you’ve got a the usual number of electrical things on, like fan/heater/air conditioning, lights, radio and satnav etc, don’t expect to get back home from a trip down the motorway.

Re: Workshop Manual
I would too, I think it’s a case of the pulsar has died a death before Haynes got round to bringing out a manual. Looks like we’ll never get one now.

Seems like a good way to get some fresh air into the car quickly.

Re: Battery Recall?
I had one of the bad batch batteries and it was changed for a new Nissan battery. The RAC man said they were a high tech item - don’t know what he meant by that.

I know what you mean, there’s a few things I forgot to mention too.
