Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

Mine says "As a gesture of goodwill please find enclosed the latesd SD card for your use. This comes with our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment you may have experienced with our service" As the only 'inconvenience or disappointment' has been waiting several months f...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

Update SD card received today. There's what I take to be a standard pro-forma letter in with it claiming that the SD card has been provided as a gesture of good will. That's very different to what I was told on the phone where they said that free updates will be provided for the duration of the warr...

Your guess is as good as mine! Considering the message about an update being available appeared on my sat-nav in December 2016, it makes absolutely no sense that the SD cards still aren't available nearly 6 months later.

I'm genuinely pleased to say that the topic has achieved success for somebody. I just wish I could have the same result!

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

I've just had a reply from Nissan Customer Services, after chasing them again for an availability date. They are still waiting for a delivery date to be confirmed, so why the **** have they promised previous dates if the actual date still isn't known!!!!!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the minimum you can set is 16.

Re: Fuel economy

Around town about 37 mpg, on a decent run just under 50 mpg. The most I've managed to get into the tank is about 36 litres and obviously price varies, but general concensus is that there's close to 10 litres in the tank when the guage shows nearly empty.

Re: Window Auto Closer Module

What exactly does it do please, Gervil? When you hold the unlock key on the remote it rolls down all 4 windows and when you hold down the lock Button it rolls them up. Very handy in summer for opening the windows to let the heat out Does that mean that just pressing the unlock button simply unlocks...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

It makes you wonder when the info was put on the updated card? You'd think that every A road change in 2015 would be on it. I'm wondering what's going on too. I have notification on my sat-nav in December2016 that an update was available. For a variety of reasons I didn't start chasing it until ear...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

Whatever :-) The point being made was that if it was set up for download via PC all this messing about with sending out physical cards would be avoided. They could still encrypt a code of some kind to stop it being copied. Doesn't really make any difference as they still haven't come up with the upd...
