Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

Is it worth getting back onto Nissan to ask why yours isn't covered when others have been told that vehicles still under warranty are covered? They might let you have it just to shut you up :-) And that's the way it worked out in the end. Emailed them again, said they'd investigate, and I received a...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****

I tried emailing gb@nissan-services.eu; no dice. All they have said is that an update for 16 / 17 will be available in the next few months, and that I should contact my dealer to buy it in due course. The free updates must be dependant on registration date of the vehicle. When was yours registered?...

Re: Intelligent key

Oddly enough, was picking up my son last night and from his door to where the car was parked was maybe 50 meters. I was able to remotely unlock and lock the car. If you are experiencing poor range across clear sight lines, then replacing the battery would be the first thing I'd try,

Re: New Pulsar Tekna dci

Regarding the maps, whilst I'd expect a 2016 new car to come with the most recent maps, they can be obtained from blackrojer on eBay. He's a Russian, but sells the most recent maps more reasonably than Nissan. I paid about £60 delivered. Took about 8 days to come from Russia.

Re: Air con fault

You'll think I'm bonkers, but could you be directing the air flow to the windscreen only? I had a journey a couple of days ago, where I put the aircon on, turned it down to 16 degrees, and didn't feel any cooler. Discovered once I'd parked up, that I had the air pointing to the screen....setting it ...

Re: Loss of Power

Chums EGR valve needed replacing in a 4 year old Octavia with these symptoms. Very expensive. Seems unlikely in a newer car. Our Zafira also had these symptoms after a service, and it turned out the garage had coc*ed something up with the fuel filter. Very cheap. Think there's possibly loads of issu...

Re: Electrical issues. No help from Nissan

"Stop start works when it wants and despite reprogramming it still happens randomly according to Nissan it's how it's driven. Unsure how many ways there are to put the car in to neutral and take your foot off the clutch." Stop Start won't always immediately turn the car off. If you have th...

Tip: how to turn off touchscreen

Press and hold the "day/night" button for a couple of seconds.

This may be widely known but was news to me.
