Re: Uncomfortable Pulsar
I've not driven any of the cars you list, but I recently did a 400 mile drive, virtually non stop apart from one short coffee break and one pee stop. No problem with discomfort or tiredness at the end of it. I certainly don't find the ride hard or the turbo noisy. Maybe I've been lucky, or you the o...

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****
If my experience is anything to go by, you'll probably start to worry when you put the new card in the slot. I got a display saying the SD card was missing. Switch the engine on and eventually the display changed to 'Updating' or something similar. It took a few minutes, but it did the job.

Re: Sat Nav Map Update - Nissan taking the ****
I tried emailing gb@nissan-services.eu; no dice. All they have said is that an update for 16 / 17 will be available in the next few months, and that I should contact my dealer to buy it in due course. The free updates must be dependant on registration date of the vehicle. When was yours registered?

Re: Hello Everyone
Hi madappa. If you want to know more about Nissan I would suggest contacting Nissan customer services direct. This is a forum for users of the Nissan Pulsar, and to the best of my knowledge has no direct connection with the company.

Re: Newby help required urgently please!!
Yes it's the same on mine. Clutch pedal has to be right down before the car will start. As keithbrown53 says, you can also start by pressing the brake pedal, although no mention of that in the handbook.

Re: Discount on GAP Insurance
I didn't take out GAP insurance. The one glaring issue with the one offered by the dealer was the cap at 'Full purchase price'. As I got close to 4 grand off the price - brand new, if I binned it a couple of months down the road I'd be short changed anyway. I also have 1 year GAP on my car insurance.

Re: Stop/Start Fault
I don't think it should be called Stop/Start anyway. From my experience it's more like "Stop Once For An Indeterminate Time And Then Not Stop Again If You Are In A Traffic Jam". I suppose that is a bit too much to put in the index of the handbook

Re: Stop/Start Fault
I don't think the stop start system is faulty, the technology is flawed.I had the same with a Kia Venga it only worked when the correct criteria was met!! Fair comment on the difference between faulty and flawed. I accept that 'flawed' is nearer the mark, but either way it's a pain in the a**e and I...

That's good. Rubbish that it does what it does, but the end result is OK.
