I live near Gloucester and the Pulsar went up Birdlip, which is steep in parts, happily in 5th only needing to drop from 6th pretty near the top. My previous 2 litre Primera used to take it in 5th quite happily.

We're off to Torquay on Friday. I'll get a good sense of how it handles steep hills when we hit Telegraph Hill. That said, there are a few steep rises around where I live and it has handled those better than my Focus used to without changing down.

There is a definite flat spot on the turbo which can be disconcerting until you have learned to modify your driving slightly to avoid the problem. Just done a quick Google (they can't touch you for it) for AF & AG. Both stated as being for high performance engines. I can't see it doing any damage - certainly less damage than running with too little of any type of oil.

Spoke to Bristol st motors today, was trying to sell me service stuff etc, asked him if on first service would sat nav be updated, he hadn't a clue. The other aspect is that if it's going to be fitted free when the car is serviced, it forces you to use Nissan dealership for servicing.

Latest response, regarding getting hold of the updated SD card, is that somebody will be in touch about it (late March / early April) and to discuss it with them at the time.
