I should really update this thread more often, the car is currently getting a DPF Delete and stage 1 remap from a company called SA Tuning in Harlow.
I have been getting more and more DPF related EML and when the car is regenerating the DPF it drives like a total dog!
Twinned with the EMP Performance Backbox delete it should sound amazing! Can't wait to hear and see the results of a proper remap over a Tuning box.

Ill be sure to update you guys when I get the car back in a few hours.

Sadly you won't, they couldn't do it was my diesel has a really rare ecu which no one makes a remapping tool for.
:(

Thats poo !!! When you say 'your' diesel was a rare ECU, do you mean every bugger on this forum with a diesel will have the same issue/ECU brand ?

My changes are all still someway down the road as yet but your updates thread is eagerly followed.... together with those of Mr Ronson of course

When you say DPF delete.... I assume that this will mean you will be removing the DPF from your car as well as removing the 'software' element?

If so, how do you propose you get around MOT when its due as I understand that MOT testers are now visually checking for the existence of DPFs and if one isn't found then it will fail?

...of course if it still "looks" like there's a dpf, there's no Eml on and the car passes it's smog test..... ;-)

If the DPF is removed, cut open, gutted and then welded back up and put back on the car and mapped out to ignore the lack of DPF then it can still pass

aah, understood :)
Rather than leaving it gutted, would you go to the effort of installing a pipe into it rather than a chamber to keep the flow of the exhaust as best as you can?

My Pulsar will reach 100 000 km this month and warranty will ens. Next step is to have ecu remapped. In Finland we have companies which uses Celtic tuning maps,Price for remap is 450€ and promised result is 140hp & 300nm.

I looked from Celtic tuning website that there is few companies on Essex providing same services.
