Hello! From america, and I own a 1987 Nissan Sentra (Sunny to you), with the same E16i engine as the 1987, and 88 Pulsars.
I'm having the dreaded limp mode failure at 2500 RPM, and the ECU is flashing a Code 12 for a MAF failure when I put it in mode 3 and pull the codes. Its the only code.
We verified the MAF is getting 12V power, we've verified its grounded, we've pulled the MAF off the TBI unit and did the blow test, and it responds to blowing air when powered outside the car, and we verified that the signal wire is not broken. So, its either still somehow the MAF, or its the ECU.
If anyone has suggestions I'm welcome, I have cleaned the MAF with CRC MAF cleaner, and I did purchase some spare ECUs. Does anyone have any known good E16i TBI mass air sensors (otherwise known as hot wire modulator) they'd be willing to sell over paypal and ship to the US?
