After replacing my car radio, which is working fine apart from the steering wheel controls, I get an airbag warning light. It doesn't blink but stays on. The only thing I've been doing is changing the radio so I guess this is the issue, as one of the oem plugs from the radio is not connected anywhere. I believe there is some canbus error at hand.
I'll try to put the original radio back and see if it helps, hopefully I won't have to take it to the dealer. Maybe you guys have any suggestions?

Have you maybe disconnected the airbag switch in the glove compartment?

Even if you reconnected it at a later time, the fault is stored in the airbag control unit.

You either need a Nissan specific diagnostic tool or a visit to the dealership.

I disconnected the passenger airbag light that is in the middle of the car while replacing the radio. So I need somebody with a good diagnostic tool to fix it.
Honestly - it's a bit too much for me, to make a 'fault' by disconnecting the light. The system should check if everything is fine and than just let go, not indicate problems, where there are none.

Depending on what the dealership is charging, you might want to look into this tool here. I cleared my airbag light with it and it supports tons of other diagnostics too.

About 25$ for cancelling the light. But having such a thing at hand would come handy, as I won't have to wait for a free slot to get my car done. Instead I could do it anytime.
