When the car is launched it'll have a choice of a 1.2-litre petrol or 1.5-litre diesel with a choice of six-speed manual or CVT automatic gearboxes. Sub-100g/km CO2 emissions are also promised.

The car in this deal features the frugal diesel in entry-level Visia trim. Despite its humble appointments, this car still features Bluetooth, cruise control, air-con, alloys and steering wheel audio controls.

Upgrading to Acenta brings climate control, automatic lights and wipers and an emergency-braking system. N-tec adds LED daytime running lights, infotainment and a reversing camera.

Top spec Tekna models have leather upholstery, heated front seats and extra driver aids.

The saving: £1770
The discounted price: £15,825

Has anyone went for this? I would need to test drive a couple of versions before I commit to a deal I think.
