Which fuse to hardwire the dashcam

Post by raj_pulsar_2017 » Wed Nov 14, 2018 4:07 pm

Hi All,

This is my first post.
I bought the nissan pulsar car last year 2017, but was registered 2015.
I have connected the nextbase512gw for almost 8 months. But wanted to tidy up, so purchased the Nextbase hardwire kit.
But don't know which fuse to use. could you please help which one to connect please?
Also is there any other fuse box/connection apart from the shown picture please?

Thanks & Regards,
Raj.

This maybe usefull:

It looks as though one of the posters used the spare link on the right hand side on your pic (3rd down on the right hand side). It has been suggested this is live with ignition.

Your other option I suppose is the one marked for heated seats. Its not being used and the wiring behind it should be more than man enough to support a dash cam!

Thanks, It worked, see the below picture.
I have used the nextbase hardwire kit and the fuse is “small atm fuse”. This fuse doesn’t work if it is connected upside down from picture.

Where is your camera mounted, and does it obstruct vision at all? I ask because I would have wanted to mount one as high as possible behind the rear view mirror, but the darkened area of screen behind the mirror would seem to preclude doing that.

Hi, I got nextbase512gw, it came with 3M sticker holder which I have as shown and doesn’t obstruct the view.

Thanks for the photos Raj. It does hide nicely behind the mirror.
