Hi,
I am wondering what kind of fuel economy readings you’re getting and if you think mine is normal. I am driving in the city and my trip meter says 9.6 / 100km. I am not driving fast or anything , just random lights and short distances from home to work. I find it kind of steep for a small engine. My car is a 2015 1.2 dig . Am I doing this right ? Temperature recently is not super cold too.

I'm in the UK and get around 37 miles to the gallon around town. That translates as about 7.7 litres per 100 km.

That’s a bit better, but it’s not spectacular. I wonder why mine is so bad. I’ve only got 34,000 km

6.84 l/100km average and 9.66 l/100km max recorded. Most do just around 7 l/100km it seems. So that plus mostly city driving should yield something in the higher 7 range I presume.

I'd calculate the real consumption by measuring the delta @ the petrol station and see if your in car display tells the truth.

Overall I'm getting about 43 mpg. Best seen so far has been 49 mpg on a long mixed run of motorway and main roads.

I’m keeping an eye on it. I cleared the history , so I’ll see how it averages over time. Sometimes I’m in really heavy traffic, so it’s in the 8.5-9 liters range per 100 km. 6’.8 on highway

The best I managed on a combined run on my 1.2 was 55mpg. I’m now driving the 1.6 t petrol and the best I’ve managed on that is 44mpg.

Today I got 78 mpg from my 1.2 petrol. That was a trip of about 7 miles, with 4 of them downhill :-) Now I'm trying to find a circular route which is all downhill to see if I can improve on that.
Joking apart, I am getting high 40's on a regular basis with a mixture of motorway, A roads and local roads. I'm not heavy with the right foot, but don't hang around either.
