It fits perfectly instead on of the number plate lights. I took power from the socket of one of the reverse lights in the lamp, led the wire along the car's driver side (hid under all the trimmings so it came out under the dashboard around the fuse box), then attached it to the radio's harness (chinch socket for AV in and one wire to activate the radio's screen when the rear camera is switched on).
2DIN radio for Visia model
Hard to say, I got mine locally - removed the original light, went for a motorcycle ride to a shop 25km away that had them on stock, checked the sizes and bought it.
It seems like this kind of light is universal to many models, so it should fit, but I'd double check if I were you.
One more thing - this one doesn't have the light for the number plate.
Take a look at this one instead

It's not too complex. Takes a few hours to make it neat and clean, but quite easy to do.

Good news - no gluing needed. The lower ventilation control panel is attached by some latches so you simply take it apart from the original panel and plug into the cut one.
I could send you one cut panel but it doesn't look too good so either vinyl wrap it or painting might be needed...

Ah, that is refreshing news. Thanks for your offer, but I want a nice fresh new one. So, I assume all I need is the normal 2DIN (factory) and buy a radio like a Pioneer and that backup camera? Could you make me a parts list? I want the steering wheel functions as well. Thanks so much and will help others here too. I'm also just thinking to use the factoyr Nissan 2 DIN touch radio as it might be cheaper and fit the panel better. I don't know about the GPS though. Any ideas on that thought too?
something like this? Do I need more wiring?

Good luck with searching for a good quality radio frame - all used ones are more or less scratched I'm afraid and it's either a compromise between the price and quality or try asking at a dealer for a new frame (but sit down before you hear the price, just in case).
I have an Android radio. Not Android auto but normal android - I wanted to get as much similar functionality to my phone as possible. I had a chance to see how android auto works and it wasn't very convincing. And some people changed from NIssan's 2DIN radios into aftermarket ones because of navigation issues (old maps) and bluetooth disconnection problems.
What's more I believe the original 2DIN radio might be somehow coded with the car it comes from so a visit to the dealership might be required to activate it, but that's my guess only.
If I were you I'd first ask myself what do I need from the radio and then choose the correct type.
Canbuz is the way to go if you want to keep the steering wheel controls operational. The ISO / Nissan loom might be unnecessary as Canbuz comes with typical ISO output so if you get yourself a radio with ISO wiring than no additional adapters should be needed.
Camera should be OK.
Remeber that after replacing the radio with an aftermarket one the only ways to adjust the clock on the dashboard are either getting it done by the dealership or by Canbuz steering wheel adaptor. Normally you do it with the radio, but since you change the radio that function disappears.
Or you could wait until midnight with reconnecting the car's battery but I don't know if it would work
The frame for the new radio - i did mine myself. My radio fully fits the height of the hole and needed only to cover the sides so I took 2 small stripes of plastic, glued it to the radio panel and vinyl wrapped it. Saved me around 150zl.

Thanks so much for your information and help. I will consider all these possibilities.
I just have a question about this frame. If I buy one like in this picture, where is the part that connects to the AC area /holes? I only see one big piece of plastic.
Cheers:)

The whole panel is really made from two parts - top and bottom. The bottom is kind of a base mount for the top one. I'll take a picture of mine tonight. What you see in this picture is the top / cover part. But the idea is that you separate these two parts (the bottom one is the same in all models, it's the cover that is different for different models), cut the lower portion of the cover part to make place for the manual AC cover that you get from your car and reasembly it together.
Honestly - it's harder to explain than it is in reality.
