Space saver spare wheel
I am looking to buy a 17" space saver spare wheel for my Pulsar Tekna 1.2petrol. I have checked on line and the only ones I can find are 16" they say it will fit all pulsars but I am a bit wary of running, however short the distance with 3 17" and 1 16" wheel on the car, can any one point me in the direction of a supplier that has 17" ones, also will I need different nuts as the spare wheel rims are steel and mine are alloys.

You'll find most space savers are smaller than the other wheels. Don't worry though, as the tyre wall should be thicker, thus creating the overall same circumference around the whole wheel/tyre combo.

What wheels and tyre sizes are you currently running?

Doing my best online, I would guess your 17" wheels have 205/50 tyres
the 16" option has 195/60
This means the 17" wheel has 205mm wide tyres with a wall thickness of 50% of that (so 102.5mm). This gives you an overall diameter of about 534.3mm. The 16" wheel would have a diameter of 523.4mm.... So 10mm difference (1cm).
Typical space savers have a high aspect ration, like 125/80... As long as the numbers are as close as possible to the 17" diameter (including tyres), you should be fine.
