I’m thinking of putting a performance air filter (not full induction kit just the panel) into my 2016 1.6 t petrol. Mainly do give a bit more sound to the car when using the old right foot. Has anyone got one in their car and if so what type and where did you get one to fit? Tia.

If you put a panel filter in you'll get no more noise, I've beem looking at doing a conical filter direct off the intake and ditch the stock airbox looks like there is plenty of space once the airbox is out and a 90 degree bend and filter should fit ok, maybe run a cool air feed from the floor to the filter

You can do this completely free and no swapping of anything.

Just take the cold air intake pipe off the airbox itself.... that's it, nothing else needed to do! Saves having to do a lot of messing around. Yes, you may get more noise from taking the full air box out, but probably not much more and this is easy to shut back up or reverse for warranty reasons!

Cheers, I’ll have a think, I’m gonna wait till the weather warms up before getting my hands dirty ha ha. It looks like K&N do panels and cone systems. There is a local tuning company that do remaps on it, according to their website, a stage one remap will increase the power to 230bhp. It’s £300. I might even consider this 💥😎
