Hi everyone,

Finally made an account to this wonderful forum
I bought a 1.6 Nissan Pulsar DIG-T about 3 months ago, from what I can say, it's a great car and got plenty of horses haha!

I had a question about the high beam lights, I currently have halogens, has anyone had any experience in converting them to LEDs, currently have LED low beams which are great, but the set would be nice!

Also, what are people getting MPG wise with the 1.6, I'm getting around 30mpg... lol

Thanks!

Lovely looking 1.6 Dig-T!
30mpg isnt too bad.
My mate gets 35mpg in his 1.6 Dig-T but its all about how you drive them, some people have a heavier right foot than others!

As for doing the LED high beam conversion you can see a post I did on my build thread on here.

Installing is easy, simply unplug and remove your H9 halogen bulbs and install the LED bulb in its place and plug it into the factory wiring loom.
Check the new high beams work and you are done! Wait until nightfall and go for a drive to test them and see what you think.

Here are some links to the posts on my build thread

Here is a link to the ones I have and would recommend: http://tinyurl.com/jbp649t

Hope this helps!

Cheers Mrrichmond! Will look into that :)

@Metalmickey, yeah, I get around that much when on motorways, I live in quite an urban area so I guess 30mpg isn't bad at all!

Welcome!

Loving the colour of your pulsar!

I get an average of 34mpg most of the time round town.
Worst mpg I've had was 8mpg (being naughty), and best was 58mpg (cruise on, 6th gear, 70mph) :-)

Can't believe I missed this post! Glad to find a few 1.6T owners here, I struggled to buy a preowned one from my dealer in South London haha

But yeah, I'm starting to see an average of around 34mpg
Best I've got was about 53mpg, no traffic and driving at 30/40mpg! 8mpg!! Very naughty indeed haha! I love the look on BMW 1 Series owners when they get smoked by my Pulsar! :D
