Re: 1st Service

Tyre wear almost certainly won't be considered to be a defect.

Re: Alarm system & door mist

I don't think the OP is complaining about the window misting up on the outside. They are questioning whether dropping the window should act like a squeegie and take the condensation off. It would seem reasonable that a well fitting rubber seal would do that, but it not good on mine either.

Re: 1st Service

It'll be interesting to see what they say about the fuel guage because mine is the same. Shows 40 miles to go but takes bout 34 litres to fill up.

Re: Alarm system & door mist

Whether dropping the window wipes off the misting seems to be a bit hit and miss on many makes and models of car. On my wife's Micra it clears all the driver side and about half the passenger side. On my Ford Focus it cleared all the passenger side and none of the driver side. On the Pulsar it doesn...

Re: Minor Niggles With my Pulsar

I tend to deactivate it, but if stuck at level crossing re activate because I know it will be couple mins before traffic moves again. Even if I'm stationary, with handbrake on, the engine kicks back in after maybe 30 or 40 seconds anyway. I deactivated it today for the first time and funnily enough...

Re: Minor Niggles With my Pulsar

Stop/Start activation seems to be pretty random anyway. I take my wife to work each morning, always using the same route, and the point at which the Stop/Start kicks in varies greatly. I've had days where it has not kicked in at all, and others where it's kicked in within a few hundred yards of home...

Re: New owner from Portugal

Yes, it's as if the engine hasn't fired up fully by the time I've released the clutch. I haven't had a problem with stalling the car when pulling away since I was learning to drive, and that was in the early '70s!

Re: Stop/Start Fault

Yes I know about the switch, but I'd just like to disable it permanently as it's not much use in my opinion. Having to set the switch every time you start the engine is irritating.

Re: Stop/Start Fault

I would be happy if Stop/Start just wasn't there at all. To use one of my mother's expressions "It's neither use nor ornament". Stop at lights and the engine stops - for all of 30 seconds then it burst back into life without the car moving or me touching any of the pedals. In slow moving, ...

Re: New owner from Portugal

Issues with the Stop/Start system seem to be a recurring theme. I've had a couple of instances where the car has stalled as I've pulled away from traffic lights after the Stop/Start has activated. I'm not sure yet whether the problem was me or the car.
