Cycling noise when AC is on

Hi Everyone
I have a 2015 1,2 petrol Pulsar with automatic climate control.
I have a problem which bothers me a lot. When the AC is on, there is a cycling noise from the left side of the dashboard (the car is with left side steering wheel). I can swear this comes from an unbalanced fan. As soon as the AC is off, the noise stops even if the ventilation continues to work. When the AC is on again, the noise reappears immediately.
Before I used to have Fords and my mechanic was a real master. I have aske him what he thinks about that and according to him this should be a fan that blows the air form the interior into the AC temperature control sensor. I have told this to the guy at Nissan and he literally said that this was bullshit.
Does anyone know something about this? This will be great if you also can provide a part number or the exact description.
