I've got exactly the same issue as Bucka666, 2015 Pulsar. The issue is sporadic, but at the moment it's happening all the time, the stereo can barely play a whole song without cutting out for 20 secs. When the car was last serviced with Nissan (under the Nissan service plan), as asked for the firmware to be updated and they said it would be £86, which I think was 1.5 hours labour costs, which is of course ridiculous. I've contacted Nissan Customer Services and received this reply:
"We have reviewed the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) you provided and confirmed that it is not currently eligible for the free software update. This update is designed to address specific issues with the infotainment system, and your vehicle's VIN does not fall within the designated range for this particular update.
To resolve the issue you are experiencing, we recommend scheduling a diagnosis with your local Nissan dealer. They will be able to assess the problem and provide the appropriate solution. We appreciate your understanding in this matter."
On this video the Qashqai guy gives a phone number to call. I've not tried that yet, but will ASAP.
