Happy to report I had the new o2 sensor fitted under guarantee today. EML light has stayed off and auto stop start function has worked flawlessly since leaving the garage 😁

I agree. What can be easier than simply pulling a lever to set the handbrake? On one of the traffic police programmes a while ago they were called to a brand new Range Rover which had come to a sudden halt in lane 3 of a motorway. It had stopped in traffic and refused to move when traffic started up again. Police realised that the electronic brake had set, but there was no way to release it. End result was traffic chaos until a recovery lorry with a lift arrived to remove it.

Bought a '54 1.5dci. Seems I'm experiencing the same system fault as everyone else. Has been in for repair, without improvement. Checked the battery, and found it to be in need of replacement. Replaced today (£130), but still have same fault showing. Anyone know how to reset the fault message? Also, my start/stop button is permanently lit up and does not let me switch it on/off. Anyone else suffered with this?

Cheers

You have to reset it using an OBD reader.

Driving it this evening, the engine management light came on, the dashboard told me there was a Stop/Start System fault, the Rev counter went beserk and I kangarooed along a dual carriageway so will be calling the dealer first thing in the morning. I have had 7 Nissan's over the last ten years (I have a Micra, too) and I have never had a problem with any of them until now and I am hugely disappointed with this one which is a shame as I love the car. I now have 5900 miles on the clock and it has to go back again, may push for a replacement I think!
Did you find out what the problem was? Mine is the same kept coming up coils need replacing had them done but still the same.
The garage seem to think it is to do with the ECU.

Hi everyone
I've had my nissan pulsar fron 2016 never really had any bigger issues with it but today 11/2/2024 I got a warning message on the dashboard saying star/stop error(or failure) but for next few minutes it was driving normally but after that it's starting to shake a bit , luckily I got back home but I'm not driving it to work tomorrow I'll call Nissan garage tomorrow and will see what they say, but my friend got a similar issue just in a Renault Capture 16plate ( it's the same type of DCI engines in Pulsars and Captures I think) he kept driving longer than
I did and 7 different systems started flashing car lost power was shaking & vibrating like crazy at the end 😵‍💫 and it went really bad for him , Renault garage estimated repairs for £2500
Have anyone had the same issue?
