Report after car in garage for stop/start error fault.
Its down to a faulty o2 sensor, so needs to be ordered.
Garage informed me ok to drive car whilst waiting for sensor to come in.
While I was there I asked about extended warranty, I will post the info for this in a separate post.

My start stop seems to have a mind of it’s own. I can drive for 2 minutes after starting up and stop at a traffic light and it begins . Other times in traffic it starts and then 5 minutes later at a stop it doesn’t work . Kind a moody. So far though it’s ok after hitting the clutch and gas.

I tend to turn it off, it has to be within so many parameters to work correctly, engine temp and so on.

Great idea but practicability wise not good in stop start traffic.

I switch mine off most of the time too i.e. when I remember to. It seems to take for ever to kick back in if you are first in the queue at traffic lights and don't manage to predict when they will change. Worst though is when you stop at lights, Stop/Start activates and the lights change at the same time. More often than not the car will stall.

I just bought a 1.6 dig-t 2016 a few days ago. Literally driven 150miles and I get this auto stop start fault and orange EML.
Is this battery issue, o2 sensor or new engine? If new engine I'm going to reject the vehicle and get my money back.....
Any advice welcomed, thanks in advance

That's the sounds like the same issue I have, garage have diagnosed o2 sensor needs replacing so will be done on 18th under warranty.
1st MOT and service on same day.

Hopefully so, I'm booked in Tue with my local Nissan. Car appears to drive fine with the orange EML. How did yours first appear? With mine I was just setting off, pressed the AC to clear windscreen and was presented with a clunky, beeping dash and lights flashing everywhere 😖

It just came on with a warning beep whilst driving.
Garage told me fine to drive and I have been doing so for about a month.
They cleared the warning and eml, pointless really as both come back on after few minutes of driving.
Could have had it sorted earlier but decided to only have one trip and get mot and service done at same time.

I just plugged in an OBD2 reader to see the faults, I have two P0138 and P0037 (both related to the o2 sensor I believe) phew that's good news. Let me know how you get on when your's is sorted, mines going in Tue ( I have noticed lumpy running now and bad fuel economy which is to be expected AFAIK).
Cheers

No issues with running, mpg dropped a bit after the fault first showed but now back to normal.
Could be engine management system adjusts the engine to run better after a while.
